5 Important things in a Christians Life : Lessons Inspired by the books of Luke and Revelation

From reading each scripture I  was praying over four main postures that the people of God must posses and praying for those trapped in the net of doing otherwise. Whatever is not of these calls for change.

1) FAITH (Luke 18:1-8)

We have to allow Christ to find faith in us. He will work on our behalf just as another human would. We should know and expect this and go to him. He doesn’t like lack of faith or when we don’t seek him the one who takes care of us. If we do not live with this knowledge, we can be hindered or become displeasing to God.

2)  HUMILITY  ( Luke 18:9-14)

We must remain humble and know what it means to be righteous. IT is not by our good works. Let us not compare ourselves to another and find ourselves being Pharisee Christians. God calls the one that is  humble the justified one. Don’t allow this to hit you by surprise, Let is know that God sees and knows all. He is analyzing in a different way than we are.

3) Heart Posture and Attitude ( Luke 18:15-17)

The Bible says unless we are like children we cannot enter the kingdom. This involves us accessing the knowledge/wisdoms and power we need to overcome. We access it by learning the ways of God and becoming willing to learn it and accept it like little children who have to be taught everything by parents. If we think we know and what we know and want to act on does not coincide with God’s word then we are found to be teachers of our own selves and walk in error. If he says do this and go there our answer “should be as you wish”and “ yes master with all my heart”LET GOD BE TRUE AND EVRY MAN A LIER.

4 FOCUS TREASURE ( LUKE  18:18 -25)

When the master comes asking Us to release ourselves from the love of riches we must know it is for our own good. No earthly possession or ambition should supersede the pursuit of God in the Christians life. As the word says “ It’s easier for a Camel to go through a needles eye then for a rich man to go to heaven”. When the heart is set in riches above God, it’s more of pressure and dislike in that persons heart to open up to God or receive him fully.

5 Lifestyle ( Revelation 14-16)

In revelation God clearly expresses dislike for a lukewarm Christian life. Neither does he want us to be cold. How serious are you about your walk with Jesus? How much do you want to be Holy ? And how are your choices reflecting this? How much do you want his will for your life and what are you doing to ensure in has free flow therein?

To be on fire for God is not to appear to do more, sing/shout louder but to be repentant and open/truthful to God, to obey his word and his spirit, pursuing his will for your life and refusing to walk in sin. (Whatever these May look like in your unique journey with God).
